NATIONAL RETAIL SYSTEMS ACQUIRES 100 ACRE SITE NEAR PORT OF NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY

Leading retail logistics provider announces plan to build mega distribution complex within 10 miles of Port Elizabeth, NJ

SECAUCUS, NJ (Oct. 11, 2007) - National Retail Systems, Inc. (NRS), a leading provider of integrated logistics services to U.S. retailers, today announced a plan to develop the largest freight distribution complex in the New York area within 10 miles of Port Elizabeth, N.J. The announcement comes after NRS completed the acquisition of 100 acres in Jersey City, N.J., across Secaucus Rd. from the company's existing 100-acre distribution campus comprised of several transload facilities and an automated distribution center. The announcement was made at the 7th Annual New York-New Jersey Port Industry Day conference and exhibition at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, N.J.

"The world's largest, most affluent consumer market is right here in the U.S. Northeast. This is where retailers need efficient logistics services and where NRS will continue to deliver for our customers," said Raymond Wisniewski, President & COO of NRS. "We will develop our 200 acres here into one of the most advanced distribution operations in the world and work with the industry to make sure the Port of New York and New Jersey maintains the transportation infrastructure needed for future growth."

On the new site, NRS will build two 100,000-square-foot container transload facilities. The yard complex will have capacity to hold 3,000 containers or trailers. NRS is also developing an intermodal rail yard with direct access to main rail lines adjacent to the property near an existing U.S. Postal Service sorting facility. The combined complex will be called NRS City.

NRS already operates one of the largest distribution facilities in the New York area, including several transload facilities, warehouses and a state-of-the-art automated cross-dock that is among the most advanced of its kind in the world. NRS also operates multiple facilities in the Los Angeles area, including an automated distribution center and over 1 million square feet of distribution space within 10 miles from the Port of Long Beach. Part of the company's Gateway Ports Strategy, a new Savannah transload facility will open later this year, adding to NRS' significant presence in the Southeast with facilities in Greensboro, N.C.; Tampa, Fla.; and Miami.
